Beitir ehf is a family business and has been operating since 1988 when it started its operations in the shed of Þóra and Hadda. The first projects were custom construction and design for small boat owners with various special needs regarding their fishing that were difficult to fulfill here at home. Those experiments were considered successful, and after many years of development work and design, Beitir has become one of the most powerful companies in the country in custom construction and design for small boat owners, as well as carrying out projects for larger fleets and operations throughout the country.

Just before the turn of the century, Beitir had exploded and it was then decided to start building a new workshop. In 2000, Beitir moved to the new premises, which was located at the harbor in Vogum. With this development, new opportunities opened up because with increased space, it was possible to invest in new and larger equipment.

Today, Beitis' project flora has become much more diverse than at the beginning in the shed, now we offer complete solutions for line fishing, which have been on the rise in recent years and will most likely continue to do so in the future, given that they are both considered much more environmentally friendly than other fishing methods and also seem to deliver a much better product.

Beitir has also started to build a lot for fish works as well as providing services for them such as installation of equipment and maintenance, but a lot of expertise has been created within the walls of Beitir over the years in that field both with diverse projects, the need to find solutions for various customer problems and, most importantly, we have experienced employees who have been with us for a long time.

Beitir has always put a lot of emphasis on quality and good and personal service, we are very proud of the equipment we build and have always made a great effort to have a reputation for having quality equipment and service.
